Who We Are

Our Story

Pragati Pratishthan stands as a beacon of hope and progress, transcending political affiliations and driven solely by the pursuit of societal welfare. Established in 1972 under the Public Charitable Trust Act and the Societies Registration Act (1860), our NGO has been steadfast in its commitment to holistic development in Palghar District for over five decades.

Our genesis is rooted in the visionary endeavours of Shri Vasantrao Patwardhan, whose impassioned journeys through the region unveiled the stark realities faced by tribal communities. Moved by their plight, he spearheaded the formation of Pragati Pratishthan, catalysing a movement dedicated to uplifting the marginalised and fostering sustainable change.
